and ended up at this brunch café in Magok after searching for a good spot nearby.

Interior Design & Atmosphere

Inside this Magok brunch café, Kivol, the ceilings are impressively high and the space is filled
with plants, giving it that polished plant-filled interior look
that instantly makes the café feel special.
It was exactly my kind of place.

With trees visible through the floor-to-ceiling windows,
the whole space felt open, airy, and comfortable,
almost like a rare large-format café in this area.

Since we went at lunchtime on the weekend, I noticed
couples on dates, people meeting for blind dates, groups of girlfriends,
and families like ours with kids,
so the crowd was really varied.

You check the menu at your table,
order at the counter,
and then the staff brings everything to your seat, which was very convenient.

Overall, the tables were spaced out nicely,
so it was easy to relax
and have a conversation without worrying about the next table.

The high ceiling also helped diffuse the noise,
so it never felt loud or chaotic.

It also had the kind of atmosphere where

and ordered the tropical latte and mixed berry ade,
and the drinks were surprisingly good too.

They were packed with ingredients
and definitely didn’t taste cheap or watered down.

We ordered the A Set, which is recommended for two people,
and with the set discount, it seems like
this is how most groups of two or three order here.

We went with the pancake of the day
and added avocado plus sausage for our child.

The pancakes were incredibly fluffy
and soft, which I loved,
and all the toppings, including the sausage, tasted fresh.

It absolutely did not taste like something thrown together carelessly.

Kivol’s chili baked pasta had a rich sauce
and a generous amount of meat,
and even my picky 9-year-old son said it was delicious and ate it well.

The sauce had real depth of flavor,
and the pasta was cooked to that perfect slightly chewy al dente texture,
so it was really satisfying.

The Eggs in Hell came with a deep, savory sauce and rye bread
on the side,
and the rye bread paired with it beautifully.

It wasn’t overly salty, so it was easy to enjoy—definitely recommended.

I noticed a lot of tables ordering the Eggs in Hell too.
