Manyo Cleansing Review: Azulene Hyaluronic 2X Jelly Cleanser, Serum Oil Cleanser, and Soothing Dual Cream

Lately, I’ve been getting lifting treatments and skin booster procedures
pretty often, so by the time I get home afterward,
my face is usually red
and noticeably warm.

That’s when I start thinking most about
cleansing.

If I use a cleanser that strips even my skin barrier,
I end up dealing with deep dryness and that tight, dehydrated feeling.

My facial skin has always been on the thinner side, and redness has been a constant concern,
but these days it also feels more and more like dehydrated combination skin—
oily on the surface,
but lacking moisture underneath—so I’d been sticking mostly to cleansing milks,
low-pH cleansing gels, and gentle bubble cleansers
instead.

But this time, Manyo
launched something that felt made for exactly what I needed: a calming line for overheated, sensitive skin.
It’s the Azulene Hyaluronic 2X cleansing line,
and I’ve been using only this for a little over a week now.

Apparently, it’s their first new cleansing line in 13 years.

I’ve always genuinely loved azulene as an ingredient.

It’s one of those soothing ingredients I keep coming back to because it really works,
so hearing that it was paired with
extra hydration in a cleansing line
immediately made me want to try it.

Key ingredients: azulene + 8 types of hyaluronic acid
Best for: post-treatment redness, dehydrated combination skin, thin skin, and sensitive skin

Azulene Hyaluronic Serum Oil Cleanser

When you pump it out, it feels less like a traditional oil
and more like a bouncy jelly serum.

It doesn’t have that heavy, suffocating feel some cleansing oils do.

Manyo says it contains 80% skincare ingredients
in a serum-in-oil formula.

I apply it directly onto dry skin
and massage gently,
then add a little water and it emulsifies into a milky texture.

It removes foundation and lip products
really well, and even eyeliner
melts away smoothly,
so I haven’t been reaching for a separate lip and eye remover.

My favorite part is how my skin feels after rinsing.

It dissolves sebum
but still leaves moisture behind, so my face
never feels tight.

There’s no heavy film or uncomfortable residue either.

The cleansing milks I used before
were gentle, but they never fully melted away sebum or dead skin,
if that makes sense.
I always had that slightly not-quite-clean feeling,
and since I wear makeup every day, cleansing milk
just didn’t feel effective enough.
On the other hand, regular cleansing oils can feel too thick and rich,
which can be a bit much for me.

Azulene Hyaluronic Soothing Jelly Cleanser

The Manyo Azulene Hyaluronic Jelly Cleanser
is what I use after my first cleanse, squeezing out just a tiny amount
as the finishing step.

A little goes a long way,
so even at 120ml, I think this tube will last a while.

Inside the clear gel, there are little blue capsules
dotted throughout, and they pop as you massage it in.

I loved this springy, jelly-like texture so much
that washing my face started to feel weirdly therapeutic every day.

Both the serum oil cleanser and the jelly cleanser have
a soft, subtle scent that mostly just smooths out the raw ingredient smell,
so they’re easy to like and easy to keep reaching for.

The lather isn’t dense or squeaky like a typical foam cleanser—
it turns into very fine, milky micro-bubbles.

After rinsing, you don’t get that squeaky-clean
stripped feeling at all,
and my skin feels soft with moisture still left behind.

According to the clinical data,
it improved tightness by 83.29%, with 24-hour hydration
measured at 91.54%.

Based on how it felt in real life,
I really didn’t get that urgent, uncomfortable tightness
before toner after cleansing.

Azulene Hyaluronic Soothing Dual Cream

The Manyo Azulene Hyaluronic Soothing Dual Cream
comes in the kind of trendy dual-cream format you see a lot these days.
Even the dispenser is split for the dual formula, which is kind of fun.

Two textures come out together from the tube,
and honestly, it’s a little like toothpaste in the most entertaining way
(I kept wanting to squeeze it again).

Once you mix it and spread it on, it glides over the skin really smoothly.

The idea is that azulene and panthenol help
quickly cool down
overheated skin.

It’s not thick or greasy at all,
but it’s not so watery that it disappears instantly either.

Once it sinks in, it feels like your moisture barrier
gets stronger, so after treatments
it works beautifully as a calming cream—and honestly,
it’s great as an everyday moisturizer too.

I’ve also used it in the morning before makeup,
and it doesn’t make my base pill or separate,
which is a big reason I keep reaching for it.

Who I recommend it for

If you regularly get treatments like lifting procedures or skin boosters,
I highly recommend it.
If you have dehydrated combination skin or a lot of inner tightness, I’d recommend it too.
If foam cleansers tend to make your face red and reactive,
this is worth a look.
It’s also a great fit if you hate that stiff, dry feeling
after washing and want a cleanser that feels non-irritating.

Final thoughts

This line is a great match for anyone who wants to cleanse
without losing moisture in the process.

If choosing a post-treatment cleanser
has always been stressful for you like it was for me,
I think starting with the oil + jelly duo alone is enough,

and if you go all the way to the 3-step routine with the calming cream,
post-treatment home care feels much easier.

I used all three for over a week,
and since my skin stayed calm without any breakouts,
I have a feeling this Manyo cleansing line
is going to be my go-to for a while.
