First impressions
It goes on with a nice hydrating feel, but never looks greasy,
and my lips didn’t dry out at all, even after a few hours.
The color payoff is better than I expected too, so even one swipe shows up,
and the shine isn’t over the top,
which makes it perfect for soft, naturally glossy lips.
I usually prefer matte lip products,
so I was a little unsure about a balmy formula like this,
but it felt much fresher and lighter on the lips than I expected.

so if you’re a spring warm tone or summer cool tone,
I think this shade will be very easy to wear.
That said, if you’re a deep or dark winter cool tone,
applying it heavily all over the lips
can pull a little yellow on some complexions.
I’d recommend using a thin layer
or pairing it with a pink-plum tint for a more flattering layered look.
On the cheeks, though, I think it works regardless of tone.
It just adds a soft, lovely flush,
so it’s easy to wear every day without overthinking it.
What I didn’t love
If you apply it the wrong way, your lips can look like they’re floating on their own.
Since the color is on the softer side,
it may feel a little lacking on days when you want a more defined lip look.
If you’re a deep winter cool tone, the shade can also show up differently
depending on your natural lip color, so it’s best to swatch it on your hand or lips first
before deciding.
The other thing I noticed was the wear time.
Because it’s such a hydrating formula,
it doesn’t last as long as a long-wear lipstick.
So I usually apply it in the morning
and do one quick touch-up before lunch.
